Handily located just 45 minutes from London you’ll find Surrey – home to picturesque landscapes, historic landmarks, and cultural attractions. Whether you're into nature, are a history enthusiast, or are simply looking for a relaxing day out, Surrey has something to offer everyone. We understand it can be tedious finding new things to do in your area, so we have put together this handy list of the best things to do in Surrey for a fun day out.

    Loseley Park

    Step back in time when you visit Loseley Park, a stunning Elizabethan mansion set amidst beautiful gardens and parkland. Explore the historic house with its magnificent Great Hall, amazing art collection, take a walk through the enchanting rose garden, visit the tea hut for some refreshments, and enjoy picturesque views of the Surrey countryside. Just a 13 minute uber away from The Guild! Open from April to September, book your slot to visit the house and or gardens.

    This is the perfect option for a Saturday activity, particularly beautiful in spring and autumn, for nature enthusiasts and for when you need some fresh country air. RHS Garden Wisley spans 240 acres, this world-renowned garden/arboretum features a diverse collection of plants, flowers, and landscapes to inspire any visitor. Take a look at their website and socials for news about their exhibitions and events, to make sure you get the most out of your visit. Get here in under 15 minutes in the car from The Guild.

    Guildford Castle

    Immerse yourself in history at Guildford Castle, a medieval fortress overlooking the charming town of Guildford. You can climb to the top of the Great Tower for panoramic views, explore the beautifully landscaped gardens, and learn about the castle's fascinating past. Align your visit with the farmers market too which happens on the first Tuesday of the month. Just a 20 minute walk from the Guild, in the heart of town.

    If you’ve not been yet, make sure you visit on the next sunny day! Grab some old trainers or walking boots and head to Box Hill for a day in the great outdoors. This iconic beauty spot offers miles of scenic trails, breathtaking viewpoints, and opportunities for picnicking and wildlife spotting. Facilities wise there is a café, kiosk and loos. This is a favourite amongst many cyclists and dog walkers.

    Art lovers won't want to miss a visit to the Watts Gallery - Artists' Village in Compton (8 minutes from The Guild). Enjoy the beautiful gardens and make sure you visit the café for a delicious lunch in the pretty gardens.

You can book in for a driving experience to test your driving skills on the handling circuits.     Escape the hustle and bustle of city life with a tranquil retreat to Painshill in Cobham.
